The Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt is a 3.5 mile long trail that winds its way through the hills surrounding Oakland, California. It provides a great escape from city life for those residing in the suburbs all over the Bay Area, and runs along many of Oakland's most scenic parks.

The greenbelt is home to oak trees and winding paths that provide an opportunity for solitude, relaxation, or adventure depending on your preference.

A large portion of this trail was built by volunteers in order to make it accessible to everyone regardless of their ability level or mobility issues; it has since become one of the best places for people with disabilities to enjoy nature without having any barriers standing in their way! This area also serves as a natural wildlife corridor where coyotes, deer and birds all live in harmony. Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt is also home to the famous Temescal Creek that winds its way through this area of Oakland; a creek that was once used as a water source for many people living nearby!

The Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt was created in a joint effort by the Friends of the Rockridge-Temescal greenbelt and Neighbors for Oakland Parks. The group wanted to create space for childrens parks, but after 3 years of searching they were met with some opposition. However, this did not stop them from building Frog Park! This park is anchored by two custom built play structures that incorporated natural elements like trees and rocks into their design while also being set along Temporal Creek.

The play structures were designed by Leathers & Associates after children and adults contributed ideas for what they'd like in a park. These one of a kind designs came to fruition during the "Big Build" where 1,300 volunteers worked over 10 days to construct Big Frog at Hardy Park as well as Little Frog at Redondo Park. In addition this phase included constructing paths on both ends of Clifton from Cavour so that families can use it all year long!

The Dog Park under the freeway has been in place since 1995, and was built as part of a settlement with CalTrans to allow for safe off-leash exercise after they used it to stage equipment during reconstruction efforts. Dogs are not allowed outside the dog park except inside its confines where there is plenty of room on these fenced acres which have benches, water bowls for both dogs and humans alike, poop bags dispensers that never get empty or overfilled because people take care to pick up their pets' waste before exiting this pristine space.
