Every year, more than 5 million people visit the Napa Valley wine area, and if you've ever tried to visit the vineyards on a weekend during the summer or harvest season, you'll likely believe that those 5 million tourists decided to attend when they knew everyone else would be there as well. However, east of Napa is Suisun Valley, which is also known for excellent grapes.

Suisun Valley Vineyards

  • Less than an hour from Napa Valley, the Suisun Valley is often a respite for weary travelers after long days of hectic traffic and congested highways.

  • Nestled in the foothills of Solano County's open hillsides, this wine-rich region has miles upon acres to offer visitors.

  • Wide expanses with well-stocked vineyards that produce some of California's finest grapes.

  • Panoramic views where one can easily imagine farmlands as far north as Sacramento or southward into Walnut Grove.

  • Towns like Fairfield are both historic and bustling hubs full of shops ranging from quaint antique stores to large retailers on Main Street while still maintaining their small-town charm.

  • The many calm days here make touring easy because there are no major hills to climb and traffic, even on weekends, moves better than in Napa.

The Suisun Valley is the home of more than 25 wineries, most established during the 1990's wine boom period; however, there are also a few from the mid-twentieth century that have been recently revived thanks to renewed interest in small family-owned wineries producing premium wines. While many of these vineyards offer tours by appointment only or through special events held throughout the year such as harvest season, there are a few tasting rooms open daily for visitors who do not wish to wait.

Vezér Family Vineyard

Since their introduction to the wine industry in 2000, Frank and Liz Vezér have been on a mission for greatness. Their wines are some of the most popular varieties currently available from Sonoma County's Suisun Valley region--with an emphasis on Petite Sirah and Zinfandel grapes. The family-run business is responsible for well-known brands such as Sin Zin or Ravenswood; both of which rely heavily upon their luscious blackberry notes found exclusively at Vezer Family Vineyard!

  • The Vezér family has been producing award-winning wines in the Suisun Valley for more than 20 years.

  • The first vintage of Zinfandel was released by Liz and Frank when they decided to start their own winery, and since then it's garnered praise from around the country and world thanks to a strong following with wine enthusiasts who love tasting new vintages every year!

Vezér produces a vast selection of wines that have gained local and national attention. The winery's wine club members can visit three different tasting locations where they share the experience with locals who are passionate about their craft, as well as people from all over Northern California or even other states in America. Vezér is committed to producing high-quality products for its customers at a reasonable price - something you won't find anywhere else!
