Point Emery is a great place to go for a hike or just take in the scenery. Many different trails offer views of the ocean and other parts of Point Emery. It is a great place to go with friends or family, but keep in mind it can get pretty busy on the weekends. It's possible to walk right up and around the point to explore what remains of this historic landmark.

All About Point Emery

Point Emery is a small park with stunning views of the bay, walking paths, and plenty to offer. This landmark offers unique features that make it one-of-a-kind. If you are looking for an outdoor activity with friends or family, Point Emery is the perfect spot to visit. There are also benches along pathways around so visitors have spots to relax while enjoying nature at its finest.

Point Emery is also a great spot for dog owners. Along with walking trails, there are areas designated as off-leash where dogs can roam free and play together to their heart's content. If you love hanging out in nature but do not like the idea of your furry friend wandering around without supervision, Point Emery offers an ideal solution.

Point Emery Facility

Point Emery's two launches are the wide sandy beach north of the parking lot, and a narrow but short set of stairs near Point. Point Emery is a popular spot for kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders because it has no hourly time limit, a short walk from the parking area to the beachfront with plenty of space. In addition, this site also provides ideal launch conditions on windy summer afternoons as well as kite sailors.

Point Emery is a long-established windsurfing location and it's an excellent kiteboarding spot if conditions are right. Riders can stay upwind here with the appropriate skills, but this isn't recommended for beginner or intermediate windsurfers because there might not always be enough power in their sails to hold themselves afloat otherwise. Gear must also take into account that they will need something heavy when flying across open water.

Path To Travel

The short walk to the beach is worth it. The path winds its way through small dunes and leads you down a series of steps. You'll find yourself standing in front on gorgeous, golden sand with crashing waves breaking at your feet. The beach access path leads approximately 50 feet from the parking lot.

Transportation and Parking Information

Visitors to this park should not only consider it a scenic location, but also one that provides an excellent vantage point of San Francisco Bay. There are no public transportation services nearby, however, they can easily get around via car or bike if needed.

The Park's hours for visitors are from 7 am–9 pm during which time you'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy its beautiful views without any limitations on how long you stay. Perfect timing when planning your next adventure out onto the water to take advantage of windy days.

If you're looking for a new and exciting way to spend the day, then we invite you to visit Point Emery. We provide a safe, clean environment for your family so that they can be as comfortable as possible during their stay with us. There is plenty of parking available on our premises. We hope you have enjoyed this brief overview of what makes Point Emery so special. If you are interested in visiting, we encourage you to visit us.
